OKAY. So, my mom finally let go today and let me use the digital camera!!! Haha and let me just admit to everyone right now that I have jumped on the photography bandwagon. Yes, I have taken pictures of things close up, made the backgrounds very blurry, and uh.. did other stuff that you photography people do.. BUT I DON'T CARE!! Because it's fun and and and.. yeah. Ha but the pictures definetely turned out pretty bad; this was my first time doing that stuff so uh.. try not to be too critical haha but urg I can't transfer the pictures onto my computer yet!! The stupid software that came with the digital camera that allows me to transfer the pictures can only work on windowsxp, and yeah. I don't have it :*( Bah.. oh, well. I'll get someone to install it for me.. hopefully :)
Oh, yeah. And I'm having the worst problems sleeping now.. I just can't fall asleep until around 3am, and by that time I'm ready to barf because I'm so tired and frustrated but I just can't frickin fall asleep!! So yeah.. just wanted everyone out there to know. Yup.

Happy Birthday, Mom! There. Well as a celebration, we went to go see White Chicks.. because she's been wanting to see it for quite some time. Weird, I know. Well the movie was okay-- actually it was pretty bad. Ha but that's alright.. then she took Ron and me to TJMaxx and Ross (we went just to humor her; aren't we just darlin'?) aaand then to Barnes& Noble. While at Barnes I saw Jeremy, and instinctively I said "hi" and walked away.. but then I later realized that he's not a senior anymore; he's in college now, and I didn't even say goodbye to him. I wanted to go back and just say "Hey, good luck with college!" but even thinking about it now.. it would have been pretty stupid haha well yeah.. again, I hate goodbyes and just the thought of anything going away depresses me. So yeah.. um. I don't know why I bought that up.. good luck with college!!!
Oh yeah. I'm slightly sad because my mom's thinking about changing her mind about the whole New York/East Coast vacation because she said she might just use that money for Princeton Review classes instead. I mean, I really think that I should go to those classes because studying at home never made me feel motivational and I end up slacking off.. A LOT.. so having a teacher and a room full of students will definetely make a difference. BUT, I neeeed to go to New York. It's not about "getting away" or something.. I'm literally addicted to that place. Even the dirtyness and the incredibly rude people there make me want to drop everything and just hop on a plane to go be with them. Okay, I'm not trying to sound like I don't appreciate my life in Irvine. Practically everytime I go to volunteer at the Discovery Center, someone would say, "Hey, you go to Northwood High?? That's a rich high school huh?? Yeah.. my school's so old and broken down.. I wish I went to your school." I mean, it makes me even feel guilty for going to a high school so different from theirs.. and this morning when my mom and I went to NHS to pick up Ron, I said out loud, "I LOVE Irvine!" and I truly meant it. But... maybe I need change, maybe I just want a new life.. well whatever it is, I'm hooked on New York.
Wow this entry is so stupid. Um.. oh, yeah. I'm getting really antsy about my digital camera.. I still have to wait half a month. I think I'll just secretly play with my mom's.. haha Christina showed me this girl's site and looking at her photographs made me want to just get up and TAKE PICTURES!!! Of course, she probably has a LOT of experience.. and is very familiar with photoshop.. but yeah. I'll just practice!!! Okay enough of this bs writing.. um. Good bye, all.
Oh yeah oh yeah oh yeah.. YAY!!!!! KAJ;EIOFJAW EF *phew* ;aklfa;we yaaaay such a load off OKAY OKAY!! WOOHOOO!!! :D

This week has been so fun!!! Okay I'm actually making a very good progress for the whole "read as much as I can this summer!" thing, I've seen a bunch of people already, I've changed my mind about joining the gym, aaaaand I've been to the movie theatre 4 times this week already. Ha okay last night I saw Dodgeball which was a lot funnier and less stupid than the trailers, and today I saw The Stepford Wives, which was a very cool movie. It was weird, I must say.. but yeah it was cool =) Then Christina and I spent like 2 hours in Barnes & Noble.. I love that place. No matter what mood I'm in, that air-conditioned, crowded, wonderful book store manages to make me feel calm and blissful. Uh, yeah. That's about it.. oh yes, and I went swimming twice, which is quite a feat considering the fact that I haven't actually been in a pool for maybe over a year (jacuzzis don't count.. I think I spelled that word wrong. Right.) Anyways, I just feel really happy right now and I'm really thankful for my friend who totally understands me and yeah =*) AU REVOIR!

What I did today: + I got my hair cut.. it's quite short, but I like it; about time for a change + I watched Moulin Rouge with my mom. I still didn't cry.. does that mean I'm not romantic like everyone else? + I finished reading The Da Vinci Code. It's not one of those good good books where it like.. changes your life, but it is a good book as in a book that I had fun with and I literally couldn't put down the book. However, I can definetely tell why it's so controversial haha + I got clearence from my mom about something this weekend.. =)
Yeah.. that's about it. Oh yeah, I'm still extremely excited about student council (probably because I have no life) ha. AND I WANT MY DIGITAL CAMERA!!! ARGH stupid Costco coupon.. I have to wait until July 17th or something until the dang thing works. Oh well.. I save $70 by waiting. *sigh*

Well, it's Saturday morning and I am home alone because my mom and brother are in some chinese-populated city in LA for Ron's orthodontist appointment.
Okay, Thursday was absolutely awesome-- especially since I escaped english with an 89, which in Mrs. Morell's terms is an A-!! Then after school, Christina, Julie, Xtina, Susan, Ainsley, Jessica, James, Danny, Louis, Vince, Matt, came back home with Ron and me for the regular do-whatever-comes-to-mind fun. Haha okay before I go into detail with what we did, let me just tell you all that it basically all sounds like a four-year-old-tea-time-party compared to that whole bonfire that happened during the same night. So far, the only things that I've heard about that incident were alcohol, drugs, drunken "love", and other things that I know probably left some people with strong hangovers and regrets.. I hope all of you feel better =/ Okay anyways.. where was I? Oh yes, our good clean fun. We sat around and watched Love Actually (and fast forwarded through all those disgusting scenes which SHOULDN'T HAVE BEEN IN THE MOVIE)! Christina Ho left right before the ending started becaus she had piano lessons =( After the movie, Ainsley left and Xtina, Julie and I went to the park with everyone else. While the guys played basketball, walked around, we layed in the grass, and went to the gazebo. There, Christina arrived riding on a skateboard haha and then we went to the basketball courts (actually the elementary school's basketball courts) where I got a sudden surge of hyperness and decided to teach everyone the dance I had learned in dance class. Of course, I butchered it. In the end, Christina sang beautifully to Alanis Morsette's Ironic while Julie and I uh.. looked like a train wreck haha and oh yeah xtina videotaped the thing X_X After we went back home.. did more stuff.. and everyone left around 10pm. Yay last day of school!
Okay, yesterday was equally awesome. At 3pm I arrive back at school along with everyone else who bought tickets to Paradise Lost. After waiting for more than an hour, we all boarded the buses that were to take us all the way to Cal State Northridge. Julie and I sat together and talked for maybe 2 hrs.. and then the traffic started to get to me and I got pissed off and sick.. and then maybe an hour later everyone in the bus starts talking (we were in the emptier bus.. which had only like.. 12 people) and I felt better haha Finally, we arrive around 6:30pm and we have dinner in the oddest fashion and go to see Eric Whitacre's Paradise Lost!!! Okay, I won't write the synopsis in case I spoil it for you guys (and believe me, this opera will become famous worldwide and everyone will want to see it), I'll just briefly say this:
wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow
Well after the whole production the audience asked Eric Whitacre (the genius man who made all the music for the opera), Hila Plitmann (his wife, the actress of the leading role, and best singer ever), Damon Kirsche (the lead actor who played the antagonist character.. who is extremely hot), and David Norona (the man behind the libretto) questions about the opera and their goals and etc. etc. Wow, Eric seriously is the coolest human being ever because he is so down to earth and funny while on the other hand he's a complete genius!! After all of that q&a, we went outside into the "lobby" and waited for all the actors, actresses, and of course, Eric Whitacre to come out. Julie and I got pictures with Damon *squeal*, Michael Covington (another actor who played a supporting bad guy.. who, after the opera, was sporting a "I like Switchfoot" t-shirt that everyone was crazy about), and Eric Whitacre! Oh yeah and we got Eric's signature, too. Haha I felt stupid asking for it but it doesn't matter =) The bus ride back was around 2 and a half hours (without traffic) where Julie, Robert and I thought of the worst jokes in the world. Wow, I laughed a lot.. Ping Chen!!! Haha okay enough of that.. Paradise Lost was so cool!!!
Whoa I wrote so frickin much... I love summer. Oh yeah.. it's funny, whenever I wake up the first thing that pops into my mind is still "study." How pathetic :)

It's like what Christina wrote in my yearbook: Funny how even the worst years become "not-so-bad" or even sometimes "good" when they're OVER!! Yes, you have all heard me saying, "This was the worst year ever! This year sucked!" but now that the time has come to reflect on past memories and experiences.. it really wasn't all that bad. My opinion of other people have definetely changed, mostly for the better.. especially since I've been befriended by such a wide variety of people. School wasn't all that bad, either. I mean sure, this year I've experienced sleep deprivation.. and the mere memory of my GPA last semester still leaves me in a cold sweat.. but it's my first time taking honors classes this year. And I survived!! I've also proven to myself that I can be almost as good as those true-blue honor students when it comes to maybe.. one or two assignments haha Okay I don't know what I'm talking about right now.. oh yes. Why sophmore year turned out to be good. Hm.. well I've definetely grown close to a lot of people this year, and it's helped me figure out more about myself and more about the type of people I fit in with. My experiences have definetely grown this year too.. such as going to debate competitions (and winning third place with Brenna in duo!!), singing songs meant for professionals, learning trigonometry and understanding it (well, sort of), and of course.. going to New York!!!! That is still, and will probably always be, the best memory so far of high school. I mean yeah.. the memory doesn't involve the actual high school.. but I got to enjoy it with my fellow peers =)
Oh yes, oh yes.. what reflection entry would this be without the "What I will miss the most" section?? + debate team (enough said. I already wrote too much about that) + Mrs. Leys.. cus yeah. She's so cool =) + having Alyse Murphy in the same chorus!!! + my science class. That class was, by far, the coolest class ever put together. Even though it was science, which was one of my worst subjects, it was one of my favorite classes cus everyone there was awesome!! + having no AP classes.. oh, gosh. Next year will be heinously hard + having dance class with Shanon. Because frankly, she's the best =) + seeing Christine everday!!
Okay now I seriously don't know what I'm talking about. Basically, I'm rejoicing over the fact that finals is practically over for me. I already took my math final last week, I took my french final yesterday, and I just finished my science final around 2 hours ago.. meaning that all the subjects that were worrying me and keeping me studying past midnight are done with!!! Sure, tomorrow's the english final where we have to write a bunch of essays.. but it doesn't matter. Woohoo!!! Kay yeah haha this was a really stupid entry =)

Oh, gosh.. today was such a crazy day. First of all, math class was practically empty. *sigh* I miss the seniors.. it's just not the same without them. Then there was debate team.. where things, for once, where kind of boring. But still, Brenna and Eric managed to keep things alive.. even though I would have liked very much to sew Eric's sexist mouth shut. haha but yeah.. I'm so thankful I have Brenna =) Then there was lunch filled with yearbook signing (btw if none of you have signed my yearbook yet, you will sign it TOMORROW or else you will forever be low-life scums of the Earth) and theeeeeen the fetal pig disection.
Wow. That was certainly.. interesting. Since no one wanted to take the pig out of the plastic bag, I had to (ironically, I was the vegetarian of the group lol). At first I didn't think I'd really care.. I mean, I was kind of looking forward to the disection. Ugh.. but when I saw that pig in the bag in the sink.. with its eyes closed and its tongue sticking out............ yeah. That was extremely disturbing. So I had to take it out of the bag (it was heavier than I had thought), washed it with soap and water (btw it reeked of preservatives), and place it onto the cutting tray. Then the rest of us (Mia, Susan and Jay) tied down its legs and made all the cuts and incisions. Yeah.. I won't go into detail. Well, the time came for Mrs. Olivares to come around and randomly choose someone in our group to point out the organs. Well to my luck, I got chosen (hooray.) and had to point all the random organs in the pig. Oh yeah and when she asked what the sex was, I said it was a male and accidentally jabbed my finger into the pig's scrotum in an attempt to show her WHY IT'S A BOY! But yeah I didn't screw my group over *phew* and we got awarded 100%! =)
Yeah.. if you all haven't noticed yet, I seem to write in my lj and waste more time online when it's around testing time. X_X I know.. bad habit. a;fkew.. so tomorrow I have Viva Cantar, french I, and history. Chorus will (obviously) be very easy.. just as long as I spell all the stupid words correctly and know when to capitalize and when to not capitalize. Then comes french.. I'm not that worried about it. I pretty much had to learn everything for my french essay (which I got a 3.5 aka A- on *phew*) so the multiple choice will be sinchy (ha, remember that word??) I am pretty scared about the oral comprehension, however.. =/ And for the history final (which is sort of a joke), I just have to find the answers for the test review and I'm set. Oh, yeah.. and I get to finally hear Christina's debate =) Speaking of debates.. I guess my debate went fairly well. I did stutter a lot and talked much too fast.. and I sort of crashed and burned during my conclusion.. but the main point is, I didn't offend anyone (at least I don't think I did..) and that I made my point across to some people. Yeah.
Darnit.. I wish I was going to that ASB camp thing.. well I know it's around $400, and I think soemone said that it was only for the seniors of '05. Darn money and age limits.. -_- haha okay yeah I'll go now.. today was WONDERFUL!

What I'm Going to Miss About:
Tahera[rararar..] + her goofy laugh + her confidence + her ability to make anything funny and amusing + her dancing + her intelligence + her views of the world + her beauty! + her ability to act like she can never feel stupid/insecure about herself + just... her
Chanel + her kindness + her hornyness hahaha + her passion to always try something new + her constant search for the perfect guy + her moodswings.. lol + her love! + her goofiness + just... her
Vijay + his giggles lol + his chubaka impressions + his grunts and other.. sound effects + his smile! + his ability to say "Dorty Dore" like nobody else + his pathetic attempts to make fun of my name.. i.e. "Dorthis Retarthis" + his own amused laughter at his comments about my name + his "konichiwa, bitches!" + his constant questioning before a precalc test + his ability to make me say stupid things.. such as, "No, I don't!" + just... him
and last but certainly not least.. Eugene + his all-around intelligence + his ability to intimidate anyone during debates + his conservative ways and opinions haha + his stork dance :) + his tiny squinty eyes + his goofy way of acting very adult-like and sophisticated + his references to Lord Sauron + his kindness + his pathetic attempts to hide my backpack.. resulting my backpack being covered with dust + just... him
I'm really going to miss everyone.. they all promised to come back and visit, but I know that I'll never be able to experience such a fun class again. Thanks you guys for making that class fun every single time :) I really feel like crying, but I don't really think I should. My eyes are already burning with each blink since I stayed up until 4am wearing my contacts (again). But yeah, that's beside the point. I'm going to miss you guys so much, and I am seething with pure envy at the thought of all those people who will be experiencing all your guys' wonderfulness at the colleges you'll all be attending.
Also, I will miss Adam for he is also leaving.. . My apologies for not singing with him today.. haha! I will miss his randomness and wit; Friends Forever! Hahaha.. memories.. *sigh* Well today as a celebration for the last even day of school for seniors, the debate class had a party and last-minute jokes and goodbyes were exchanged.. I borrowed Julie's camera and took a lot of pictures of everyone.. thanks Julie! I'll put them up later.. But yeah. Everything felt so surreal, and everytime I looked at a senior I'd just think, "I might never see this person ever again in my entire life." I didn't enjoy those depressing thoughts
Okay fine I'll just say it.. I'll miss you too, Eric. But I don't secretly love you. I know you may tell yourself that to give yourself a sense of security, but I'm sorry. Your dying devotion for me will not be returned. :) Gosh damnit I'm honestly going to cry.. I think I'm the only person staying on the Debate Team class next year.. even Megan and Brenna are leaving me. I'm surprised I didn't cry today, but I most certainly will cry soon.. don't you worry...
I'll miss all of you guys, and I love you all!!

] |
So I ended up staying up studying last night to around 2:30am, where I took a 1hr30min nap.. and then I went back to sleep from 5:30-6:30am. By some miracle, however, I managed to take my math test without my grogginess hindering my performance. Unfortunately, the incredibly long senior awards assembly made me want to cry like a little baby because sitting on bleachers crammed with the rest of my peers was not going to let me fall asleep. Instead I just spent the whole time reading The House on Mango Street =) Then I had Debate Team.. which is where my sleepiness left me from all the frickin abuse from Eric and Avner.. punks. And then there's science.. where I found out I have a solid B in that class (good news and bad news at the same time). Oh yeah and we continued to try and scrounge up some identifiable bones from our friggin owl pellet but it was hopeless from the start.. the bones were either already broken, or Hoon, Susan, or I had broken it. And then english.. where I once again failed the vocabulary quiz. This obviously triggered a panic button, because now I really have no clue what grade I have in her class..
Oh, yeah.. and the next three days are going to be so busy jfa;wei Saturday + morning- SAT2 Math IIC + afternoon- Discovery Center training for the upcoming event, then cram in info for French essay + evening- an.. event ;D Sunday + community service + study for french essay and write as many practice-essays as possible + prepare, research, and finish my debate paper for the history debate (me against andrew stone; I'm arguing for homosexual marriages.. and he got stuck with arguing against it because he was absent the day the debates were assigned haha) Monday + morning to afternoon- school + 5 to 6pm- work at Northwood Pizza for the debate team (btw go if you can!) + 7(?)pm- Dashboard Confessional/ Thrice concert at UCI + the rest of the night- study
btw this whole entry was written to relieve stress. Now, I must go and study, for the last time, for my SAT2 test. I already told my mom today that I'm not going to do well and I know that I'm going to have to retake it in October. She looked at me and told me that I shouldn't take these things too seriously, and that I shouldn't worry if I had to take it again. What she said made me so happy..... but then she said, "What's most important is your GPA." My heart plummeted and I thought of my B in science and my 88 in math and whether or not I have a B in english. dkfj;awoe
From now on, 1hr will be evil. Don't ask questions; it's evil.

It's 1:00am and I'm still not done with my essential problems (which means I'm not done studying for my math test yet) and I haven't even touched my english and science hw yet. This all so magical. ANYWAYS.. tonight was my night to perform in the Pops Concert!! It turned out to be 100000000000000x more fun than I had expected. Actually, I wasn't expecting to have fun at all because I didn't really know anyone else that was performing.. other than bass cleff and viva (with Alyse Murphy who is the coolest ;D haha) PLUS the added stress of my upcoming math test. Well, for some weird reason, I was extremely optimistic and not self-concious at all, so I acted like a complete moron for all the choreography in the songs and basically took anything and had fun with it! Well yeah.. I'll just list everything briefly because I must go again and work on my essentials...
Recap of tonight's Pops Concert + Erica's solo in the Respect song by Aritha Franklin was awesome + I tried working on my math stuff but found out I left half of my notes at home.. thus rendering my attempts to solve the problems.. fruitless + I got a black ostrich-feather boa.. and it was the only one that didn't itch or leave feathers trailing behind me everywhere I went + For the I 2 I song, everyone put on sunglasses. Except me. And I was in the front row too.. so happy that my mom reminded me 10x later + I forgot a part of the choreography for "Say a Little Prayer for You" seeing as how Mr. Halop made it up 10min before we performed!! + Everyone completely dropped dynamics in I 2 I and just had fun screaming out the words + I boogied. + I boogied some more. + Char was in the audience, and so was Louis, Max, Ben, and Danny. They and the rest of the audience witnessed the boogying. + Bass cleff's songs were awesome. + Max got two solos.. and yeah, he was also awesome + Bass cleff did the best/funniest/exaggerated choreography for Soul Man + They got a standing ovation
I love bass cleff =*)

Well, it's that time again where I'm supposed to go and try to improve my math skills before my SAT2 test (which is, btw, in 4 days), but I've decided that I want to spend a couple of minutes writing nonsense in here before I go back and lose my mind again in a clutter of stress and suicidal thoughts. First of all, I want to share my pride and joy for Eugine Song getting Prom King! However, I do not see how Eric De Priester was able to get Prom Prince.. how unexpected. haha I'm just kidding.. I also state my pride and joy for you, you lucky bastard :) Hm.. what else is there to say.. oh, yes. Seeing as how my mom decided to buy an over-priced, professional digital camera, I am never allowed to take it to school and just have fun taking random pictures of friends. That deeply angered me because that was the only reason why I wanted a digital camera in the first place! So, after much discussion and deliberation, I am allowed to spend the rest of my money (a mere $200) on a regular, run-of-the-mill digital camera. Of course, I will miss the fact that I had one whole month of being able to tell my mom, "Ha! I am no longer in debt! I have money!!" but I guess memories are worth much more than money. Actually it's not.. but just go along with it. I absolutely cannot wait to get it.. especially since it would be after the SAT2s when I go to purchase it =) Oh yes, and my mom has booked my family and me on a chinese tour of the east coast!! Obviously, the tour leader with his/her unbearable corny jokes and horrible fob accent will be torture.. along with the dozens of old asian men and women who sport fanny packs and visors everywhere they go.. but oh, well. Seeing New York once again will be well worth it! And finally, to end this jumbled entry, I will talk about.. um.. oh, yes. School ending. Well actually-- I'll save that for later. I was going to reflect on my sophmore year and bring up all the unfortunate and fond memories, but that should be written at a time that's closer to the ending of school. It would add to the atmosphere, most definetely. But for now, I will say that the only thing that I will miss about school ending is the fact that all the seniors that I have become very close with are going to be leaving and starting their life anew. Actually, maybe not exactly "starting their life anew".. but you get the point. Okay I'll just touch up on that subject later. Now, I am ready for my 1hr+ of torture, humiliation, self-hate, stress, and suicidal thoughts. I bid you all adieu.

All I can say is that I thank God that Q, Mike, and Yashar are alive. Though their injuries might cut deep, it will heal as time passes.. and their lives will resume. What if one of them wasn't wearing a seatbelt? What if one of them died? But.. the thing is, no one did. Obviously, they're in a horrible situation right now that nobody deserves to be in, but at least they survived, and everyone out there that loves them so much will still be able to continue to talk and joke and laugh with them.
You were such a great and funny guy.. and you were really nice to my brother. Get better, Mike.
